Care Home Activities
We value the importance of offering our residents an active and fulfilling day within the home, which is predominantly led by our Activity Coordinator. We regularly welcome music groups and performers in to the home and engage with our local community through visits from schools and other community groups. We also have access to our own minibus and take our residents “out and about” as often as possible, whether to the local shops or further afield.
At Loxley Lodge Care Home, we want our residents to be as active and engaged as they can be, so place a dedicated focus on the activities we offer within our care home. The Activity Coordinator is tasked with creating a daily programme of varied events and activities that respond to the interests and hobbies of our residents and Service Users.
Popular Activities Include:
- Visits from local animal sanctuaries and pet therapies and care for pets and farm animals
- Trips and visits within the local region where the home has access to transport
- Community engagement with local schools
- Music and entertainment
- Exercise and movement
- Cards and other games
- Themed baking
- Arts and Crafts
- Pub quizzes
Hairdressing & Beauty Therapy
Our care home also benefits from treatments through a registered hairdressers who visit the home twice a week. We often find that such services are a valuable event that our residents really look forward to.
